Dakota Blue Richards

Dakota Blue Richards is an English actress best known for her portrayal of Lyra Belacqua in the movie 'The Golden Compass' and Franky Fitzgerald as part of the third generation cast of British teens' drama 'Skins'. She has also been extensively in the stage, performing in productions of plays like 'Arcadia' and 'A Streetcar Named Desire'. Richards is a Londoner who was raised in Sussex. There were some lessons in drama at her school, however most of the acting classes were on Saturdays. She would skip school for auditions. This was her first film as an actor. While the film garnered only a moderate response, Richards received widespread positive evaluations about her character. She made her television debut the next year in the documentary Dustbin Baby.
