Annie Lennox
| Annie Lennox, born 25th December 1954 in Aberdeen Scotland. Dorothy Farquharson, and Thomas Allison Lennox were her parents. Lennox was accepted to the Royal Academy of Music in London during the 1970s when she studied the flute piano and the harpsichord over three years. Lennox was able to live with the stipend she received from her students and work part-time jobs. When she was at the Royal Academy Lennox was dissatisfied with her skill in comparison to her fellow students and contemplated a possible alternative route she could take. Lennox began her career as musician in the band Dragons Playground. The group didn't get to compete in the talent contest New Faces on I.T.V. Between 1977 and 1980 she was the vocalist in The Tourists. A British pop group. In this band, she met Dave Stewart and together they formed The duo Eurythmics. Then, Lennox began working on her first solo album Diva which came out in 1992. In both commercial terms and critically the album was a massive achievement. Nostalgia Lennoxs sixth solo album was launched in the month of October, 2014. The C.D. Lennox selected her favorites blues and soul from the time of her childhood. In addition in May 2019 Lennox has released Lepidoptera an album of four improvised piano tracks. The E.P. This album is a companion piece of her "Now I let the door open... art installation which was on display at Massachusetts Museum of Contemporary Art. The album is her first independently-released album. Annie Lennox born December 25 1954, is a Scottish philanthropist political activist and musician and singer. The Tourists gained some minor acknowledgement for their and Dave Stewart's work during the 1970s. They went on, during the 80s, to be the cult duo Eurythmics.
